For those who exchanged their Note7 for another phone. Where you forced to end that contract and start a whole new one for the exchange or were you able to continue on with your contract?

For me, they (Rogers in Canada) refunded my money for the Note7 and ended my contract. I picked up a S7 Edge and they started a new contract that day.

me 2 but technically contract date should be date of purchanow se back in August. now we have to wait 2 more Month to upgrade.

When I returned my n7, they said it nullified the contract I had, so I'd go back to the previous contact/rate plan. (Complications came up, since that plan was no longer available, and it was a great deal.)
