Is it just me or did Samsung remove the heart rate sensor on the rear on the note 10 and note 10+ ?

I don't understand why they would take the sensor off. That's dumb. I can't wear my Fitbit right now because the band broke & I'm waiting for a new one. I wanted to check my heart rate. That's when I realized that I couldn't do that. As far as removing the headphone jack, that was dumb too. I'm not buying expensive headphones. If I had known these things I would've gone with the 9. Another thing that annoys me is that I can't do split screen. I used to use my phone to do homework and listen to music at the same time. Since whatever update before I got this phone I haven't been able to do that. I had hoped that it had changed.

Have they removed the hardware or the software? I installed Instant Heart Rate Monitor app and it appears to work. (It also boils my finger). Its not terribly good but I think it proves the hardware is there...

I have a Note 10+ upgraded from a Note 4. I also miss the notifications LED but hey ho...

Hard to believe so many people are not happy with the current version of Note 10. Progress will continue to happen and the removal hardware and function will be based on popularity. The headphone jack removal was bound to come and an bold measure to increase available internal size to provide us with other capabilities. They provide you with replacement headphones in the box, they is awesome.  The missing heart rate sensor is a disappointment but could return based on customer requests. There is a large percentage of the population that already have smartwatches so, coupling the smartwatch and the smartphone seems like a smart advancement forward. I hope they keep it up. We are carrying a powerful computer that can answer calls. How can we complain about that? People need to keep it in perspective and stop complaining about ever little change like the phone needs to suit just one person's needs.

Hi I just went to use my heart rate sensor until I realized there isn't one. I do usually use it on my Samsung Watch but I don't have it today. But I guess I am with everyone that said that with all of the new things Samsung did put into the Note 10 Plus, I think it is still definitely worth it!!!   I love the new camera and how clear it is.  You can take such beautiful pics with it. And the stylus is what this phone is also really known for too. And they did come through with what they said with that.  I guess its our habits with our phones.  I loved using my heart rate sensor with every note I had from the 3 up to now. So yes I was disappointed  until I remembered all of the other great things this phone offers. And they give you headphones and they sound awesome.. So I guess sometimes they try to keep up with everyone else and that's what happens.

first of all, if you are a Samsung bot then your statement makes a lot of sense.   you happen to be a person who likes the way the phone is because it doesn't affect you.   Out here in the real world it does.

this is the same company that actually scoffed at the other phone companies for taking off the headphone jack.   this company was the one that forced samsung health on the phones in the first place,  now they remove the two important sensors off the phone  just to sell their heavy overpriced watches.   I have the galaxy watch and it only has heart rate nothing more and anyone (cept you) knows you need the o2 sensor just as much it is in some cases more critically needed.  I agree with you on the headphone jack but it  was useful for other reasons but can live without it.   you told us to stop complaining based on one persons needs, that was so elitist of you to say that just because it doesn't pertain to you.   Then to say "missing heart rate sensor is a disappointment but could return based on customer requests"  is also silly  because we out here are now dropping over 1000.00 dollars on these phones.  I don't think we feel real warm and fuzzy inside with the prospect of having to drop another grand in the future with the hope of having those features added back on.  Oh, added note on included headphones:  they are crap plain and simple and have been since the Note 8.  they are there to just placate the customer so they wont feel too bad about the loss.

I have Note 10 +, $1,200 phone.

The owners of this phone bought it based on previous  experience and features they are used to and want. You do not pay for the most expensive phone in the market to find out that half the features that you expect, because you had them in precious versions, are missing.

I am not paying $1,200 to just get a phone. That phone/ computer you are bragging about is double the price of my i7 computer so we are paying for it, so it better has the features expected. I have been saying that the iPhone is pushing things down people throats but I think with this my next phone will be an iPhone

Yes, it is very annoying that Samsung removed all these features in this version and worse than only would received two major software updates.. I am using Samsung since S3 and really thinking to move to other brand...

It is silly and a very bad decision. Why then the price remained the same since they downgraded the phone. I wear a Rolex not a samsung watch

Thought I was stupid for not being able to find it.  Glad I googled it and found this.  Now I know it isn't me.  Finally decided it was time to shed the "happy fat" from my fiance and wanted to get Health all set up.  I am not going to buy their watch because I would never wear it. Didn't notice the headphone jack until reading the comments because my hearing aids are blue tooth and function as headphones if I want them to. I thought that was an iPhone thing since that is what my son has.  Sounds like I shouldn't have skipped the 9.
