Can't change interface colour since upgrade to Android 9? I have a black & red theme on my phone, prior to the upgrade my music interface was black, now it's white with this completely HIDEOUS orange and pink on the notification area! I can't stand it... Please tell me there's a way to go back to black!! Why wouldn't it continue to use theme colour or give the ability to customize?

White interface, hideous orange pink in notification area. It's offensive to my blackout theme lol

Ugh this looks super awful. The overwhelmingly white UI that is.

All you can do is uninstall the app and install a previous version on APKMirror or Sammobile's APK Archive.

I personally rolled back to a previous version and am not looking to update it. The version I have even supports Edge Lighting. Seriously why they removed that is beyond me. It was the most clever visualizer ever.

Were you using Substratum Themes on your device? Samsung has BLOCKED Substratum Themes on the S8 series & Note8 & S10 series running One UI - It's a despicable move on their part! BUT there is a method that now works for the S10 series & I'm not 100% sure about the S8 series & Note8 - Have a look here 🐧

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciated. I'll have to look into these... really shouldn't be this difficult. Even Google / YouTube have blackout themes. I'm used to Samsung being more customizable. Thinking maybe just downloading a different music app from the Play store would be easier than hacking the phone with unknown tools. Anyhow, thanks to you both for helpful replies!

Rolling back isn't hacking or using unknown tools. You just download the older version and install it like a normal app

Ohh... I misunderstood... makes sense now that I re-read your reply! Using Google music for now... white interface still but no hideous orange. Definitely taking your suggestion, thanks again!

No problem. Disable Auto Updates for the app though, to prevent it from going back to the version you hated.
