Hey @FooZ, I believe the feature you're referring to is the "Auto Area Code". Off the top of my head I think you should be able to go to the phone app, tap the three dots, settings, more settings, and then assisted dialing (or something similar of that nature). There should be an option for you to turn it on and off and to also set an automatic area code.
