After phone app updated all call recorder apps stopped recording the other party or started making the other person so quiet that you cannot understand them on the recording. great quality talking live but recording is horrible. This feature is key in my business...please help!!

I believe the only way to do this is root your phone and manually roll back to a previous version.

I think rooting voids warranty? Is there any way to make this very expensive phone good again without rooting?

Go into Settings/Apps, hit the 3 dots and select show system apps, scroll down the list until you see Phone, there might be 3 of them select the one with the biggest file, should be the 3rd one, hit the 3 dots and select uninstall update, see if that works for you

I did try it and you were right there were 3 of them. The good news is that it did uninstall the updates and therefore remove a variable but the bad news is the problem with recording calls remains.

So...talking on the phone sounds normal to both parties but the recordings are very quiet or no sound at all for the other party and loud on my side.

Thank you for your help / continued help!

Problem appears to be solved. I downloaded and tested Boldbeast Recorder 9.9 which did not require rooting but did not work until I restarted the phone. After that it worked reliably for several test calls and recorded both sides of the call. It was pricey at $15 (rounded) but I need a reliable recorder and (fingers crossed) it is working.
