Samsung Dex with Chromecast

Could I use wireless Samsung Dex with Chromecast ? Thank you.

hi mate, in general it can be use with miracast protocol.

1. Check if the TV supports a phone screen mirroring feature (compatible with Miracast). The names may differ by manufacturer.
※ Samsung TV – Screen Sharing/Mirroring, Sony TV – Screen Mirroring, and LG TV – Screen Share
※ Check if the phone screen is displayed on the TV exactly as it is and does not just show the content displayed on the mobile device. The list of TVs available for connection might be different from that for Smart View.
2. Some Samsung TVs (2013 or 2014 models) or dongles need to be switched to the dedicated Screen Mirroring Mode in order to be searched.
3. For cases other than the above, if a TV or dongle device does not appear, check again after disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable of the TV or dongle.

Head-up to DeX in quick panel and tap + hold until you see a list of devices where you can cast DeX to.

Thanks Mate. Unfortunately, I am using 2012 Samsung TV. It has AllShare feature and may share screen with my Note 10+. But when I run Dex on my Note, it was not detecting my TV.

As far as I know, your TV should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network with the phone. I assumed this is done as you can share screen. Next you need to put your TV in waiting for connection mode (sorry I couldn't help you with this as I am not using Samsung TV yet), then you search from DeX mode in your phone.

Hi mate, I just found out that OneUI3.0 currently does not support Google Chromecast. We also don't know if it will be supported at later date as it's due to new Google Android11 privacy policy.

However, you could mirroring to Google Chromecast using Google Home.

Thanks Mate. I could mirror my note with TV but still cannot use the Dex. Maybe need to upgrade my TV. ha ha ha ha ...

Yeah, just try it myself. In my TV, it works if I am DeX directly to my TV Miracast protocols, however, it couldn't find Google Chromecast 😅 at least it does work with devices beside Samsung AllCast dongle 😁
