I'm wondering how many people are experiencing this issue. My phone is well protected, never dropped and in pristine condition. I've had it for 3 months. 2 days ago, I pressed my power button to close the screen and it literally shattered the glass from the bezel right at the bottom of the power button. Samsung just tells me that I did physical damage to my phone and are completely obnoxious to the fact that it is a major flawin their construction. They tell me that there has been no reported cases of this happening either.

Now I'm stuck with supposedly a top of the line flagship phone that is suppisedly one of the best in the world, as long as you dont press your power button I guess...!

Hey there,

I have had two S23 Ultra's and both have had the exact same issue, in two separate phones (one sent as device replacement) and using two different screen protectors and even phone protectors, as I thought that may be the cause.

I have seen throughout other forums people mentioning the same issue.

Every other Samsung I have had, and I've always updated every 1-2 years, has never had this issue. I even used the same protector type/model on all of them initially but changed to another model for this second phone, with the same outcome.

I do wonder if this is a fault with the phone, because it's never happened to me before this time and I have had Samsung phones since the S4 or 5. Never have I heard or seen anything like this before.

I hope Samsung does the right thing here, or at least recognises the issue and puts out some helpful advice to ensure that we can at least minimise the risk. It is very frustrating.
