I put my phone into flight mode at nights and have the scheduled weekly reboot on Saturdays. My date and time setting is also set to automatic but the same happens with manual.

After the Oreo update, the time resets after the reboot if the phone is in flight mode with no network or wifi connection. The time is set to 7:02am of September 28, 2018.

The 7ish am workday alarm goes off at around 3:00am on Saturdays because of that.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there anyway to fix this?
It's very strange this happens, it's actually worse if you have the time set to manual as it won't change back to the correct time one you connect to network.

Any chance that you are using VPN? Don't know if that might make connection with the network unable to use the network time?

No as mentioned in the original post, the problem is when in flight mode when the is no network connection. Once flight mode is disabled and a connection is established the time is set correctly.

Just avoid putting phone into Airplane Mode than rebooting on your workday!
Not sure what causes this problem, but it's avoidable as it's self made.

Yeah that's a workaround, but it's still a bug that needs fixing. Especially if you have the time set to manual and restart your phone the time gets messed up.

Hey @Reza, could you please submit a device error log right after this happen to help us troubleshoot your issue? From the Samsung Members application, tap the “Feedback” icon. Tap the Pen icon and then submit an “Error report”. Thanks!

Thanks @Wonchul, I just did that. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the next security update. 👍
