I am experiencing an issue, where my phone does not switch from wifi to mobile data when wifi is disengaged. Carrier signal shows full bars, however, I am required to turn airplane mode on, and off for the network to start working again. I have tried several trouble shooting steps I have seen in forums, though I am hesitant to turn on the developer option that maintains a mobile connection at all times in conjunction with wifi, as I do not want to drain my battery more quickly. Does anyone else experience this issue? It is pretty annoying.

yes I have, and it is a specific developer option that may, as it maintains a network connection even while connected to wifi, so if I am in a bad coverage zone it may drain.

resetting network settings wipes out all managed Wifi networks, which I had a lot of.

Its probably the carrier signal was interuppted just as your wifi is turn off which may cause the phone to stop trying to connect to mobile data to save battery. Pretty common issue and usually comes and goes.

My S10 & Note 10+ and even the A70 seamlessly turn on and off wifi and connect to mobile data, probably lucky on my part.

Curious? Does anyone use a password saving app for WiFi in case you do have alot of networks saved but hafta reset network settings?

Update: it was a VoLTE issue. Turned that off and will pay attention.
