Why is since the last update on Oct 24 my touch screen stopped working, my s pen works perfectly but not the screen...can feel the vibe as I press it sometimes but not responsive

Hey ChOpP,

I suggest you to charge your phone with the Samsung charger for 15-20 minutes before powering on the device.

A soft reset is a simulated battery removal. This is used to power a device off when the screen is frozen or unresponsive and the device it has an internal battery that cannot be removed. It does not cause loss of personal data on the device.

  1. Press and hold the Bixby / Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
  2. Wait as the device restarts.

I only charge it with the charger it came with..did the soft few times it works few seconds then stops same as when first awaken

Hi ChOpP,  Thanks for your response. Please provide us the model number of your Samsung phone. You can find it on the rear panel of the device. It starts with SM-G, SM-A, SM-N etc...

Please try to wipe the cache partition of your device and check.
Follow the below steps:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key.
- When the SAMSUNG Galaxy logo appears release all the keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, the Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
