I installed the new update for my galaxy s25 ultra yesterday and I didn't see anything change until this morning. My lock screen and home screen, calendar all have this black ring now as you can see in pics. How do I get rid of this?

Sounds like you have a "Shadow effect" on your apps. 

Open the Good Lock app on your Samsung Galaxy device. If you do not have it, download it from the Galaxy Store.Find and open the Theme Park module.Tap on the Icon tab at the bottom. Tap Create New to make a new custom icon pack.Leave all settings and colors at their default values without making changes. Tap the Save icon (download/floppy disk symbol) at the top. Name your icon pack and select OK. Tap on your newly created icon pack and select Apply.This process strips away the default system 3D depth and shadow layers applied to app icon labels or backgrounds in recent One UI updates.

Please follow the steps outlined by RedDogRabbit to resolve the issue. Please let us know if these steps successfully removed the black rings from your screen or if you need further assistance with the Good Lock app.

No, it did not fix it. BUT I did finally find it with the help of AI. Go to settings and go to Accessibility. Then click on visibility enhancement. Then just click off High contrast theme. Thankyou for your help RedDogRabbit.
