Alarm not turning on screen in do not disturb mode so can't snooze or turn off alarm without first unlocking. App notification setting greyed out no way to ignore do not disturb. Have tried clearing cache, deleting data, rebooting. Was working recently. Software updates current.

Come on Samsung do something to fix this problem! Can't answer phone when DND is active because screen won't show regular incoming call screen. Can't mute alarm at one swipe, I have no problem with my previous Huawei P20!

I am having exactly the same problem (with and without the Do not disturb on) and went through all the suggested solutions with the exception of resetting the phone to factory data, which I want to avoid. My phone is a Galaxy S8. A few months ago after an upgrade the alarm stopped ringing, it just vibrates. As mentioned in the first post, in  Alarms and timer alerts under the Notification category of the app Clock settings, the Notification style is set to Silent, the Sound is set to Silent, the Ignore the Do not disturb is off. These options are greyed out and they cannot be changed.

Also, I noticed that when trying to clear cash and delete storage data, I can clear cash, but after clicking on Storage, and on delete data, it does not seem like the storage data get deleted (same number of Kb before and after).

Short of reverting to factory settings, what can be done to solve this issue?
