Galaxy SI tried to do a partition clean through the bios of the phone. Will test things later today and see what the results are. Was told that could fix this issue as well.

Galaxy SHi PasLor, I suggest you to perform a clear cache for Android Auto and get back to us with the results.
Clearing the app cache is kind of like a cleanse for your apps. It will get rid of residual files that could be slowing down the app.
From Settings, swipe to and tap Apps. Select the app you want to clear. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache.
