Just bought an S21 Ultra recently and found that when trying to enable Profile Picture Sharing from the Contacts app it just spins and spins. I can leave it for 20 min (I have) and it won't enable. I'm forced to go back which disables it.
Did a live chat and they were pretty useless. 45 min wasted for them to just suggest clearing the cache and removing and re-adding my Samsung account. Which didn't help.
Are you enabling It through contact settings? Did they get you to clear the contacts app Cache or your devices Cache? But yes, im able to turn it on, my contacts version is 12.1.10.34. You can find it in contacts > Settings > about to see if it's a version problem
As mentioned by Brando, please check that the app is updated to the latest version and If you did not perform the Wipe Cache Partition of the device, then I suggest you Wipe the cache partition of your phone and check.
I've been facing this error for 6 months and thank goodness, I fixed it today. Go to Settings - Apps - Find Group sharing apps. Then clear data or cache of the app. If it is not yet, uninstall the update of the app by clicking on the right corner 3 dots.
