I've had my S10 for about a month and a half now and I've had this issue of the receiver getting an echo when they call me over internet. Is this an issue because of Noise cancellation or a hardware issue.

Thank you

I have echoing on receiver end when I do VoIP call. I looked around and did complete reset but the problem persist. the only way to cancel the echo is to use the phone with a wired or bluetooth headphones/microphone. The problem 100% come from the phone and I believe it can be fixed by samsung with a fix/update. meanwhile, I am so mad because I have this issue for months. I will never purchase any samsung items of my life. even my samsung note 2 was doing better than this.

Yupp, only workaround is using headphones or a Bluetooth speaker with mic. It's a really frustrating issue, that I've had over over 2 years now. I think I'll just upgrade my device at this point.

actually I just bought this phone recently and I am planning on suing samsung for good. it could be hardware issue they cannot fix or it could be firmware they aint fixing. Whatever it is, they selling phone like that knowing the issue exist and they keep on selling this phone like that. I am not enjoying my device.

I spent $500 for S10+ black friday 2019.

Have been using until a month back late Oct 2021.  The echoing makes all my calls almost unable to make conversation.

And another issue surface same time is s10+ speakers cracking when is reach around 70%. The louder the more cracking noise.

These two problems happened almost the same time and I googled it. It is problem with speaker mic that has to be replaced.

I have s8 that I don't have the issue.  But these two issues make my s10+ unusable unless using headsets which pretty inconvenience.

It seems like when the phone cold down this issue will be gone but I cannot confirm.  But especially after wireless charging, it happens a lot.

But I am upset that $500 only last me two years...

I had to buy another phone.  May be I will wipe the s10 and test again but I think it is hardware issue.

UPDATE:

I googled something came up like the mic on top of the phone.  There is pin hole up there (Not the sim tray one), something caught in there.  The person use some kind the toothpick to clean it.

You can look for youtube "How To Fix Galaxy S10 Mic Issue (Echo) Easy Fix"
And be sure watch the video and comment section.

My fix is clear out Bixby Storage/cache and using contact cleaner for the mic, speaker both top and bottom.  And that fixed my issue (Hope it is not temporarily fix) we will see.
