I’m writing to report a serious issue that started immediately after updating my Galaxy S23 to One UI 7. The camera quality has dropped significantly: photos are blurry or over-processed, even in good lighting, videos are unstable, with noticeable shakines, night mode and ultra-wide shots look worse than before, focus is slower and often inaccurate.

This makes the phone nearly unusable to take photos. It is still under warranty period..

Hi Sarthak_27,

We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing camera issues after the update and understand how frustrating this must be.

Please try the following steps:

Clear Camera App Cache and Data: Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage, then tap Clear Cache and Clear Data (note: this will reset your camera settings).

Check for Camera App and System Updates: Open the Galaxy Store and Google Play Store to update the Camera app if available.

Restart Your Phone after clearing cache and data.

Reset Camera Settings: Open the Camera app, tap Settings (gear icon), then select Reset settings.

Test in Safe Mode: Restart your phone in Safe Mode by holding the Power button, then tap and hold Power Off > Safe Mode to check if third-party apps are causing conflicts.

Run Samsung Members Diagnostics: Open the Samsung Members app > Support > Phone diagnostics > Camera to check for any hardware-related issues.

If these steps don’t resolve the problem and your device is still under warranty, we recommend visiting a Samsung Authorized Service Center for a diagnostic check. You can find the nearest center here: https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/service-center/

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hasn't effected mine thankfully. Hopefully you get it resolved easily.
I found its very important to close everything before updating the phone.
I am always so excited to update i always just click install now the second I can.
Then I regret when I have weird issues after.
Now I am more careful and it has worked so far.

Me, I didn't see blurry photos but what I saw is big lag when live photo is enabled.

I can't take 3 photos in 1second anymore but only 1 photo each 3second when live photo enabled. Fortunately, disabling live photos 'fixes' it.

Unfortunately I have blury pictures in Camera and in Pro mode. It must be a softvare problem because in Portrait mode is everything fine and sharp. I hope it will come a better update. I am very disapointed. I purchased the phone because the camere but now I try to downgrade or sell..

I am experiencing the same issue.  Camera phone is totally useless after update.  Pics and videos are completely blurry.  Zoom as well as DUO/MEET calls are impacted as well.  No one can see me on the phone

My camera app reported  cameras failed after the UI upgrade. I've tried clearing cache but nothing changes. Samsung forces user to upgrade but causes device to report camera failure.  My HP camera was working fine before the upgrade. Samsung Admin, if you reads this msg, pls stop pushing down poor quality load upgrade !

Also the same here. Tried everything proposed including warranty service in Samsung shop. Service team said there is no issue by the phone, but it's still facing the issues with the camera sharpness. Needs 3-7 camera starts until it works properly. Hope samsung will fix this SW issue, or I need to buy my devices from other manufacturers.
