Can’t Edit Album Covers in Latest Version?

I just noticed that in the latest version of Samsung Music (v16.2.40.5), the option to edit album covers has been removed. In previous versions, you could go to an album, tap the three dots, select “Edit album cover,” and it would apply your chosen image to all songs in that album automatically—just like you’d expect an album to behave.

Now, that feature seems to be gone. If you want to have a consistent album cover across multiple songs, you have to change the cover image for each individual file—which takes a lot more time and effort.

It kind of defeats the purpose of organizing songs into albums if you can’t assign a single cover to all of them at once. I’m hoping this is something Samsung brings back in a future update.

More options > Edit (this only lets you edit the songs in the Album, before you could change thr album cover and it would apply that image to all the covers in that selected album.

Hi Kathrin1,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

We understand how important the "Edit Album Cover" feature was in helping you organize your music library more efficiently. The ability to apply a single album art to all tracks in one step was definitely convenient, and we recognize how its removal in the latest Samsung Music version can impact the experience.

We encourage you to also submit a suggestion directly via the Samsung Members app > Support > Send Feedback > Suggestion. The more feedback received, the better we can prioritize feature improvements in future updates.

We truly appreciate your patience and detailed input it helps us continue refining the experience for all users.
