I just purchased  The Samsung S20FE and I am trying to transfer from my S9. Everything worked except the text messages. Can anyone offer any assistance?

Thank you kindly.

Hi Dominoats,

If you have a backup on Samsung Cloud, Then restoring your data is simple. You can transfer it to a new or different device using the Restore feature. Follow the below steps:
Open Settings >> Tap Accounts and backup >> Tap Backup and restore >> Tap Restore data, select your desired device, and then select the content you want to restore(Eg: Messages, Contacts, Photos) >> Tap Next >> Tap Restore. If needed, follow the on-screen instructions to download your backup data.

Get back to us with the result.

There are several ways to move your data with Smart Switch, whether you have hundreds of photos saved or a long list of contacts. You can choose a wired or wireless transfer, or use an external storage device like a microSD card to move all your data. or, just use iCloud with Smart Switch to transfer your files. You can transfer many different types of files using Smart Switch. However, some can only be transferred between two Galaxy phones.

- Personal content: Contacts, S Planner, Messages, Memo, Call logs, Clock, and the Internet.

- App data: Images, Music (DRM free content only), Videos (DRM free content only), Documents, Story Album, and Applications.

- Settings, etc: Email, Wallpaper, Lock screen, Radio, and Preferences.

Also, Transfer with an external device: Using an external storage device is another option for transferring your content. You can use a microSD card or USB OTG flash drive to back up your data on one device and then move it to another device. You will need to insert the microSD card or flash drive into your old device to create a backup of your data before transferring it.
