I have android file transfer installed on my 2020 M1 MacBook Air running Ventura 13.2.1 and it refuses to connect after I allow it to on my device.
I continually get error messages "No Android device found or Could not connect to device."
My S10 also will not connect. I've tried different USB cables and using USB 5-1 docks that allow USB drives to transfer files.

I've tried deleting drop box and one drive. Neither options work.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Hi, that's sad to hear! We appreciate your efforts for trying all the possible ways. However, can you please check once again if you have followed the below steps:

  • Restart both the Mac and the mobile phone.
  • Close the Google Drive and the Preview app.
  • Enable USB debugging on Samsung phone.
  • Check that the Mac's USB preference is not set to Charge only.
  • Ensure that the Mac or phone software is fully updated.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Android File Transfer app on the Mac.

Closing the preview app on my Mac fixed this.
Thank you!

Thank you Helena,  been trying all sorts of solutions for my tab s9 and s9 ultra. Closing the preview app did work. But overall sounds like poor coding or warning that simple thing interfere with the android file transfer

I’m really happy I finally made the switch from Android and Windows to macOS. It’s a big deal for me because I’ve wanted to get into Apple devices for a long time. The only downside is that I was so used to AutoHotkey on Windows, where I could customize everything just the way I liked it. I’ve realized there’s no exact equivalent on Mac https://setapp.com/how-to/autohotkey-for-mac, which was a bit disappointing at first. Of course, I found some workarounds and alternative tools, but it’s still a shame there’s no AutoHotkey like on Windows.
