Text Message Unread option

When are we able to get a software update, that will allow us to unread a text message. Like the option we have with emails.

That way messages arnt missed if we read them and  can't reply right away. It will still show up as an unread message with the icon next to it.

Hello, I am also experiencing the same issue with my cell phone. I no longer have the option to mark a text message as unread. That option no longer shows up. I have tried to reset to default settings and that has not worked. I have a Samsung A71

I am also looking for this feature to mark text messages as unread.  Disappointed it has disappeared as an option on my Galaxy S22. Not certain why this useful option would be eliminated, or not an option across all phones?
