Is there any way to have the calender widget display in the weekly view? Or if nothing else daily? A full month with minimal details is just not that helpful as as widget, aka something I want to use at a glance! Thanks in advance for any answers and/or support!

There is a widget available for daily which also shows upcoming even if you give that widget more space. hold your home screen and select widget to add you calendar widget. the widget that i and talking about is 2X3 in size. see if that works for you. it will show overview of whole week.
give it a try

My apologies. is there any chance you could sent a screen shot of what it looks like? in having trouble figuring out exactly what you mean. Is it already a part of the Samsung operating system, or do I have to download this widget?

Follow the steps that @Jmak mentioned above, when you're in the calendar widget selection screen, scroll over the "Calendar" there's 3 options available: List, Month and Task, I believe that @Jmak is referring to the one called List. Try it and see if that's what you wanted. The widget is located the same place where you got the monthly with widget.

Oh I see! Okay, I had found that then, but it just wasn't quite what I was looking for. Still helpful because now I know that it's not my lack of knowledge keeping me from this but a lack of availability! Thank you to both of you! I'll have to wait and be hopeful of an update then! Haha!

I know there is a daily that shows the week. However I agree there should be a weekly version that's similar to the layout of the monthly with less rows, obviously. This would be better in productivity for those with busier schedules. I currently have 2 jobs, going for my masters and doing thesis research. It is easy for me to lose track of my schedule so I rely on my phones calender. It is very useful then regular note-taking as it can be repeated. However even in the daily widget,  it is less organized than a column with a days worth of scheduling. As much as I like the month view, several events are missing. This happens even when I put it to full screen on my note 20 (5x6).

I don't believe it is that difficult to use the monthly widget as a baseline platform and reduce it to a weekly layout. If so that would be tremendously useful. I have been seeking other calendar widgets/apps in the meantime. If anyone knows of one please let me know.
