for ease of saving, transfer to new device, in case lost,  ... I have my Contacts set to come from my Gmail acct (not my phone, not my Samsung acct), and my girlfriend's Contacts always get mixed into my Contacts (Ihave her email on the Gmail app, but don't use).

any reason for this? I don't have any of her contacts saved to my Gmail, totally different contacts (some similar) but my Contacts specifically pointed to come from my Gmail.

fix?

Hi, we would like to suggest, if the device is registered with two accounts the data will be mixed up.

So it better to remove one of the email from settings>>accounts and backup>>Manage account>>Google account>>Remove account

actually, device isn't registered to 2 accounts. I've just got the other Gmail acct on this device.

Removing the account will also remove it from gmail i believe. But there are other ways
1. You can set the contacts app to display only the contacts from your gmail account.
2. You can stop contact sync for that gmail account in accounts and backup Screenshot_20221203_131454_Contacts_1000013025_1670094894.pngScreenshot_20221203_131433_Settings_1000013023_1670094873.png

Try go to the following:

Settings -> Accounts and backup -> Manage accounts -> Your GF Gmail account -> Sync account

Turn off Contacts sync

See if this help.

yeah, obviously did it 'only' to her one account (containing contacts I didn't want), leaving mine to continue to sync.
