When you use the "Move to album" option, it generally creates a reference to the photo in the new album rather than removing the original photo from the main album. This means deleting a photo from any album will delete it from all albums, as the photo is not physically duplicated but rather referenced in multiple places.
If you want to keep the photos in the dedicated album without deleting them from the main album, you should use the "Copy to album" option instead of "Move to album". This will create a duplicate of the photos in the new album while keeping the originals in the main album.
