I have a Galaxy S20 UW on Xfinity Mobile that just updated to One UI 3 / Android 11.

The upgrade has absolutely destroyed the split screen / multitasking capabilities. I've had the firmware flashed by a Samsung Care person, and he told me reversion is impossible, but intense googling says that user @CHMultimedia might be able to help.

Yes, RedDogRabbit is correct.
Use this app, it's the one I use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccswe.appmanager.installer
No PC required for this one, it only uses Samsung Knox.
Disable the package that goes by the name of com.wssyncmldm. Re-enable it once the issue is fixed to get updates.
You'll know it worked as the option to update your device will have vanished from Settings

I'm not seeing that option

Yeah, search is broken in that version of the app. You have to scroll manually until you find one of the two apps called Software Update. One should have a purple icon with the good package name underneath. I'll give you a screenshot in one moment

Here is the app that you should disable.
Simply tap on its icon and press Disable

The new multitasking really **bleep**. Is it an android 11 thing or is it Samsung one ui bs?
