I ran into a situation where I was enabling audio on my phone for Bluetooth in my vehicle I had already had calls enabled but I wanted to also listen to music on my phone once I selected audio I got an error message because I had increased my media volume level to its highest level and it wanted me to disconnect this. the error message wouldn't go away I couldn't do anything on my phone I couldn't reboot my phone I couldn't access anything in my phone whatsoever until I pulled my car over and turned it off which disconnected the Bluetooth to my phone so if you're in your car and you're trying to enable audio on your device to stream through your car but you have the media volume limit set to 100 decibels your phone will not work and will become completely useless unless you pull your car over and turn it off.

Hi Walsung,

We completely understand how concerning that situation must have been, especially while driving. Safety is always our top priority, and unexpected behavior like this is definitely something we want to look into.

The issue seems to stem from a conflict between the Media Volume Limit and Bluetooth audio handoff, which may trigger an unresponsive state. We recommend:

Clearing Bluetooth cache: Settings > Apps > Show system apps > Bluetooth > Storage > Clear cache

Updating your phone's software and reporting the issue via the Samsung Members app under Get help > Error reports so our engineers can investigate further.

We’ll make sure your feedback is passed along to our development team. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we’re glad you’re okay.
