Galaxy SI just recently switched over from a oneplus 6. It had the most fantastic and super snappy facial recognition, regardless of angle. The S21 ultra is comparatively terrible! 85% of the time it doesn't work. It drives me nuts. Their fingerprint sensor **bleep** too. Strongly considering returning the phone and sticking to oneplus.

Galaxy SHi, welcome to the Samsung Members Canada community. If you are having difficulty with facial recognition, here are some tips.
-
Glasses, hats, masks, makeup, bangs, and beards can affect the recognition process.
-
Make sure you are in a well-lit area and the camera lens is clean.
-
For best results, make sure your image is not blurry.
-
Face recognition is less secure than Pattern, PIN, Iris, or Fingerprint.
-
Your phone can be unlocked by someone that looks similar to you (such as a twin).
-
If you are having trouble unlocking your phone, you can use Find My Mobile and other methods to remotely unlock your phone.

Galaxy SStill my old OnePlus 5 is superior to Galaxy S23+ in terms of face recognition. Cringe.
Samsung is not a company interested in quality. They are known to make a device sufficient for the mass. Nowhere I can find concepts like perfectionism or quality, especially in their software department. Shame that they have a team of such low quality SWE.
