Freedom Mobile Visual Voicemail

Just switched to Freedom Mobile, and if I put my sim card in my son's iPhone or Motorola Edge Plus, my visual voicemail works, but will not work with my S24 Ultra. Tried everything, what am I missing? According to Freedom customer service, my phone is compatible.

I don't know about Videotron, but I know that Rogers only supports VVM on iPhones, not Samsung. 

Apple must pay a lot to the Canadian Carriers for preferential treatment.. ie: On Rogers site, you always see Apple products first.

You are correct, just talked to a 4rth person at Freedom and visual voicemail is not supported with Samsung. But hopefully got my voicemail notification fixed.

Please try to contact Freedom Mobile once, if there might be a specific Visual Voicemail feature or configuration they need to push to your S24 Ultra.

Inform them that it works on other devices, and they may be able to investigate further on their end or push the correct configuration to your device.

Hi Helenna, I did. They told me to contact Samsung. Not having visual voicemail doesn't really bother me, but the main problem is no voicemail notification. Talked to three different people, and none could figure it out.

Not sure what the use is, but for Freedom, so far it’s only available on iPhone, Pixel, and Motorola phones. Maybe there's another Alcatel phone supports it.

Yeah, that's what their website says, but customer service told me Samsung too. Does that include the voicemail notification in the status bar too do you know?

Voicemail notifications do appear in my notification bar. I usually click on them, and they will dial a number so I can listen to the voicemail.

Ok thank you. I will chat with them again, and try to get it fixed. They keep telling me it has to do with notification settings on my phone, but never had an issue with any other carrier.
