Hi,  thia  Friday  I got  a data usage  a lert 10 days after my billing cycle  saying I used half of  my data,  this is  proven  true  by    my phone usage  bur  when  comparing  totals   this  makes  no sense. I seen  on a google  support  thread  that  this is a samsung  issue.  When would I expect a fix for the issue

If you have Android10, this is a knowing bug and we are all waiting for a fix...

I suggest you to disable background data usage and check if it works.
If it didn't work please perform Factory data reset which deletes complete data from the device. This will restore your smartphone to its original manufacturer settings.
(Note: Before doing factory data reset back up your data using a smart switch and remove all the accounts added to the phone.
e.g: Samsung and Google account)"

This is not a solution, as other apps use background data, as I have already done a full reset this is also not an option.

I am having exactly the same issue. Resetting network settings has not helped, nor has a factory reset.
