Does anybody else have the problem with Google Assistant keeping the screen from turning off? Even when using the power button to turn off the screen, it comes right back on showing the Google Assistant. very annoying frustrating and battery draining bug that needs to get squashed. no one from Samsung or Google has acknowledged this issue and I have had the phone since the middle of April
Hey @SirTj, I'm sorry to hear that your Google Assistant is giving you trouble. This is likely not the optimal method, but have you tried to disable the assistant? This might help with keeping the screen off, but might not be a good solution if you plan on using the app. If that doesn't work, then the only other suggestion I have is to back up your data and to perform a factory reset.
