Sams. Keyboard high RAM usage

Is it just me or is 600+ mb average and 1.2gb max for a keyboard insane?! 😂 I used to use gboard and it used about 250 and I thought that was high (emoji button also started lagging recently🤷) so I though I'd give samsung keyboard a chance. I'm next to at a loss for a good keyboard that Swype and types accurately without sucking the RAM/battery out of my phone JUST to type! any thoughts?

G board use around 30 MB. this is why lots of people complaining about Samsung keyboard is lagging because it's consuming lots of RAM. Maybe Samsung can look into this.

it really is a shame that pretty much no one uses Samsung keyboard on a Samsung device...

That's interesting. I would say try clearing cache on the device and see if that helps. Since the last security update my device only has keyboard lag maybe once or twice a week.

Clearing Cache, and Force Stop, should bring it back to normal!
