Did you observe any error message while trying to connect to speakers on Bluetooth?

Can you please help us with the model of your device and also with which speakers are you facing this issue?

What's the speaker make/model? Does it suport calls or not? You may want to toggle according along side the device listing's own gear icon within Bluetooth once paired.

Also do you have separate sound enabled for different apps? Disable that test, then re-enable. Have 1 BT for sound connected.
