I use the YouTube Music app, and yes the battery usage is higher than the rest of the apps because it runs in the background, you can choose to put the app to sleep when not in use, but then it won't start playing music automatically when you connect your phone to your car or your Galaxy Buds via Bluetooth @Bing

I notixe it stop playing music as well when I put it to sleep in battery menu, or limit its usage.

What I do is go to the settings on the YouTube Music app and turn on the Don't Play Music Videos option, it uses quite a bit less battery if you do that @Bing
