There are a ton of websites out there currently that are using website overlays which prevent you from viewing the content until you have either selected an option from the overlay or dismissed the overlay using the ESC key.
Except - there is no ESC key or equivalent that I've been able to find for a Samsung S device. Every search I do either comes up with the Samsung Overlay (which is completely different) or references the Galaxy Tab (also not relevant)
1) How do you dismisss these website overlays without being forced to select one of their options? This is easy on the computer but apparently impossible on a smartphone.
2) Why are there no options on pretty much every keyboard and keyboard replacement that enables commands for function keys? 90% of the time they are not needed but occassional they break the functionality of working with a website when all you have available to you is your smart phone. Is there any way to enable or simulate these keys (CTRl, ALT, ESC, F1-F12).
Hi Corrimal, Welcome to the Samsung Members Canada community. Please note that the CTRl, ALT, ESC, F1-F12 keys are not available on the Samsung device on-screen keyboard. It is not possible to use these keys on a Samsung device by using the Samsung keyboard. However, you can follow the steps provided by h0h0h0 and get back to us with the results.
I realized a long time ago that when I have problems with my site, it will be much easier to immediately contact the specialists. I always work with the same developers who build eCommerce website for my business. I think that working with the same company is an indicator of its reliability and responsibility.
