I updated to Android 12 One UI 4.0 on Dec 6 on  my S21 (Canada/Koodo) and experienced really weird issues. My Lower mic became disabled and my SIM card reader will sporadically connect/disconnect  showing the please check sim card tray error message (about ten times a minute). I wiped my cache / restored the phone to factory and tried other solutions to no avail. I took my phone in to be diagnosed / repaired and was told my Motherboard was the issue and it would cost me $900 to repair because my phone had "prior damage" (I dropped my phone on the 24th cracking the screen three weeks after these issues started, which is fine I understand given the warranty repair terms but doesn't help or solve the original issue past a full replacement of the motherboard which I'd like to avoid). I'm going to attempt to downgrade the phone to Android 11 because they won't even allow a fix of my phone screen without a full repair and I was just curious if anyone else has experienced these odd issues or found any solutions.

Edit: I'm learning now that I can't even get into my bootloader without rooting my phone to downgrade to Android 11, what are my options here? Quite pissed if I'm forced to root or wait for an update.

First off, you can't currently Root the Snapdragon S21 series & in order to Root it, you would have to be able to Unlock the Bootloader FIRST.

If you want to go back to One UI V3.x - You might be able to, as long as the Bootloader Version hasn't changed. If it has then there's nothing you can do.

If the Bootloader version is the same (unlikely?), then you could download the correct Android 11 (One UI V3.x) to your computer & Flash it with Odin V3.14.4.

Thanks for the reply, i've sent a message to samsung support to hopefully get remote assistance or some sort of token to downgrade. I'll steer clear of Samsung products in the future if I can't get help directly through Samsung regarding this issue.
