How to colour code S6 calendar events

How do you colour code personal events in the S6 calendar? The only option I have to change the colour is by choosing to save my event under one of my various email addresses. I simply would like to save different events with different colours without attaching it to an email address.

I dont think this is possible from the actual device, however what I do is I have my work email on my outlook synced to my phone. I create all my events in my outlook calendar, color code everything and it syncs to my Samsung calendar, with all colors staying the same :)

Not sure if it will help you but, when ever I add an event in Calendar at Title section on right hand corner you can see a square box by default it's light blue ( in my phone) if you click it it will gives me 12 color options to give color to the event I am adding.

I wish this were an option. The colour options you described is not offered on my S6.

oh, there is one more option, that is use Google calendar that has these feature and you can sync all your accounts .
