I was so excited for this update and installed it as soon as I saw it was available but I regret it so bad.

I run very often and I loved that when I played music the media player was displayed on the lock screen and I could drag to whatever part of the song I wanted without any extra steps. But with the new One UI I have to tap the Now bar to see the whole thing and it's just a hassle for no reason.

I feel like Samsung is trying to copy the Dynamic Island from Apple but honestly IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH WHY DID THEY DO THIS?!?!?

The whole notification separation is so weird too? Like why?

The icons look old as hell too like this is so pointless...

Yea you can either tap the now bar or swipe down from the top but both ways require an extra step to change what part of the song you want to be on

Also to change the notification seperation, swipe down to the control centre fully, click the pencil icon in the top right, click panel settings, and then click together and then click done

If you want the old-style music controls back, here's a quick workaround:

1. Download Good Lock from the Galaxy Store.

2. Install and open LockStar.

3. Tap LockStar at the bottom, then go to App widgets.

4. Switch to Samsung Music (you’ll need to use the Samsung Music app).

5. Add the widget you like, then adjust its size and position on the lock screen.

It’s not exactly the same, but it brings back much easier music control.SPL2bSyFsQ.jpgCHg1YCc4vv.jpgW222NNckA3.jpg

This is nice but I usually use soundcloud and the widget it gives me doesn't allow me to swipe to change to a certain part of the song. Thank you tho because now I can add more widgets to my lock screen 😊 🙏

Yeah the old widget for SoundCloud worked. Unsure how I'll get on with OneUI 7 and SoundCloud like yourself.

If you figure a solution please update this post.
