Hello,

I'm experiencing a recurring issue where Samsung Pass or third-party password managers (e.g., Bitwarden, 1Password, NordPass) often don't trigger when tapping on password fields—about 8 out of 10 times across various apps and websites. The field is recognized, but the autofill prompt fails to appear, requiring manual entry or, at times, a full phone restart.

After manually entering credentials, the password manager prompts to save it again as a new entry, ignoring the fact that it’s already saved. This affects both usability and security. Additionally, I’ve experienced cases where Samsung Pass unexpectedly deletes saved entries. Out of frustration, I’ve tried several other password managers, but the core issue remains. Yes, I’ve ensured the correct default manager is set in system settings.

Please look into improving password manager integration on Samsung devices.

Thank you.

Same issues. Would like to use 1password with internet browser. Nothing shows up when I want to fill credentials on sites.

Hi Nymus,

We’re sorry to hear about the ongoing frustrations with Samsung Pass and third-party password managers not triggering consistently. We understand how critical smooth autofill functionality is for both convenience and security.

While some inconsistencies can occur depending on app or site implementation, it’s clear this issue goes deeper and affects multiple services, not just Samsung Wallet.

We'll pass this along to the relevant teams for further investigation. In the meantime, you might try clearing the cache and data for your current password manager, and double-checking “Autofill with Samsung Pass” (or your preferred manager) under Settings > General Management > Passwords and Autofill.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Wrong location.

It's under settings, security and privacy, more security settings, passwords passkeys and autofill. From their select gear icons for preferred service setting.

I just want to add that this is still an issue. OneUI 8 forgets that there is a selected service for auto fill in the settings. This has been one of the most annoying experiences on My Z Fold 7. Often times, the app or website outright tells me to use another device for passkey.

The only way for it to work again is to manually change the service to another one then change it back to the service that you want. A very bad user experience on a very expensive device.
