Kep screen on while viewing

Good day all.

I'm finding that my screen doesn't stay on while viewing,even though i have it clicked on, in motions and gestures section.

Hi, we request you to follow the given steps. You can set the touchscreen to turn off automatically when you are not using it.
Launch the Settings app, tap Display → Screen timeout, and then select the length of time you want the device to wait before turning off the touchscreen.
Please check if Motions & gestures toggled on/off.. The feature can be toggled on/off via Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures: Keep screen on while viewing.

Maybe it's a sensor thing, but diagnostics show everything is fine, although you cannot actually test the Keep Screen on function.

Yes I'm quite aware of the settings and I know how to do this. This wasn't my question.
It's nothing to do with screen time out. Motions and Gestures settings, the keep screen on setting is toggled on.

Does it happen with all apps or with any particular app?

With all the apps. It is really more important in a phone call, mainly.
