I recently purchased a galaxy s 7 edge Korean version from SK Telecom and the data roaming is in a settings menu called 'T Roaming' which contains an external website link to purchase a roaming package to actually use the data roaming toggle. Otherwise it is greyed out and any other instances of data roaming in settings are also greyed out.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to remedy this? Thanks in advance6af9700d-c764-499a-b8ba-6f03adb9a13f.jpg

get an Skt sim card... it will let u choose it. but why do u need to turn roaming on... the Korean frequencies and Canadian frequencies are almost the same now. there is also an Skt hidden menu that can be accessed via phone dialer ..the Skt menu has cool features... I had posted how to get to this in XDA forums.....hidden menu password : samsung only

enter your dial pad 319712358
then a menu will pop up asking for password.

thank you for the reply. I want to use roaming because I often go to the United States and I was concerned my phone would not switch over to Roaming Network which are included in my plan. on Canadian phones you have to turn the roaming on or it won't switch over so I was assuming the Korean version was the same.

also data roaming should enable itself if u are not on the Rogers network.. the reason why it's not enabled is because u are using ur home network. Korean variants are strange in this manner. I had many Skt phones and I've been able to use them in Mexico while using a Rogers sim. as soon as I landed and searched for a network. data roaming turned on...

very helpful information. I guess I will find out when I go to the states next but I believe you are right. The phone will just switch over automatically but if there is no on and off switch then how do I stop it from roaming if I don't want it to? sometimes when you are driving you the Border you want to use your home network but not any other networks and it sounds like the Korean version is going to swap back and forth and I won't have any control over it.
