I recently found that the Samsung browser feels a lot better than Chrome. However I then discovered a horrible wart on this browser:

There are about 8 pointless bookmarks pre installed by my carrier (Rogers). They can't be deleted in the normal fashion. They can't even be moved around in the list, so they're always on top of the default folder. Is this a joke?

This is honestly ludicrous. Every time I look at my bookmarks, I see "How to save on roaming!" and I am reminded that Samsung and Rogers don't give a damn about my user experience. If they were there at first but they behaved like normal deletable bookmarks, that'd be one thing. But they are a permanent annoyance. Samsung, this is why Apple gets higher margins than you; they would never allow carriers to add this kind of nonsense to Safari. UX matters. Give me my bookmarks back.eb9b23f9-9318-4248-bc2b-d0a4cc748ff4.jpg

+1. I NEVER opened any of those bookmarks. If anything, I avoid all the websites on those forced bookmarks. You want me to go there? Too bad! I never will. Who in the world goes on Yahoo nowadays anyway

I don't have ANY of there Bookmarks, I'm using same device as yours.
It's a good lesson for you, never buy through Rogers. Buy unlocked or through Freedom/Bell.

Rogers is evil I agree, but it's samsung who added this "feature" to the browser in the first place. At the end of the day it's in Samsung's brand interest to ensure a flagship Samsung = a premium experience regardless of carrier choice. For a good example, see how Android now lets us disable bloatware.

Actually those are also bookmarked in Chrome and unremovable. Yes they had the decency to put it into a separate folder but still0be0095b-697b-4e56-86c5-f9f04967d119.jpg
