Curious to know if there is another way to get into my secured file when it won't accept my password which is the correct one that I'm entering.
The problem is I don't think that my account is set up with the option "reset with Samsung account" setting activated!
I'm at the point now where it has locked me out and I can only enter my password every 24 hours. The only other thing is showing on that page is to "uninstall", but I know if I do that and reinstall it everything that was in the file will be gone and I can't risk losing it.
I have checked and double checked my password and it is being entered correctly but for some reason it will not allow me access. Just wondering if there was a back door way to get in. I have talked to the tech support chat line twice this week and I've also gone to a Samsung repair facility. They told me to keep attempting to get in and once I have attempted at 14 times or more it would allow me to reset the password or give me the option for "forgot password".
I've been locked out now for 5 days and I cannot attempt it again for another 24 hours!
Very frustrating!

Yeah, unfortunately there is no "backdoor", the only suggestion is to keep trying (as frustrating as it is), until you see "forgotten password", if it appears?

I just turned my phone off and restarted it trying to do a reboot and it reset the time to 24 hours before I can try again.

I've been trying every opportunity I have had for the past 5 days, and now it's up to only letting me try every 24 hours.
Someone told me that after 14 or 15 attempts it would reset to show "forgot password", but I could swear I'm probably at 14 attempts already

Did you try entering the INCORRECT password?

Next time you are able to try, enter the WRONG password, and see if that gives you the option to select "forgotten password".

I've tried doing that, with or without capitals and it always gives me the same 24-hour wait with no option other than to uninstall

I have to wait about 23 hours before I can try it again but I'll do that this time. I figure it will lock me out for another 24 hours after that

Thanks. It's frustrating.
At least we know they make it impossible for anyone to get into the file, even including the legitimate owner of it

Hi Dadillac,

We are sorry to hear this from you and appreciate your efforts. You’re doing the right thing by being cautious and patient. Once the 23 hours are up, give it your best shot, and try entering the password exactly as you remember it even the smallest difference can cause it to fail.

If possible, try the following when your next attempt is available:

Type your password slowly in a notes app first (to see how it looks), then copy and paste it into the Secure Folder prompt this helps catch subtle input issues.

Double-check for hidden characters, spaces, or auto-correct issues.

And yes if the attempt fails, it’ll unfortunately reset the lockout timer for another 24 hours, so you’ll only have one shot each day.

Thank you.
