I've had an s23 for about 6 months. It's a great phone - my previous phone was an s8 - anyhow with the s23, I have much better lock screen options, but the screen times out after 5 seconds, so it wasn't useful. Finally got fed up and decided to find a solution. It was crazy, there's lots of people asking about this online but everyone keeps pointing to the the display screen timeout seeing as the solution. But his will not work if you have power saving turned on. So if you want the lock screen to stay up according to the timeout setting, go to the battery setting and turn off power saving mode.

Honestly, this is design deficiency (if not a bug) on the part of Samsung.

Actually, if the screen dims after 5 seconds with Power Saving enabled, that makes perfect sense.

It would be counterintuitive to have Power Saving mode enabled, but have the screen stay awake for more than the minimum amount of time.

Actually, it only dims the lock screen after 5 seconds. The main screen will dim after the time in the settings (mine is set for 5 minutes). While dimming only the lock screen after 5 seconds while my main screen will stays on for 5 mins will not make much difference in power saving.

I also tried using the LockStar sub-app provided with Goodlock to fix this problem. Lockstar provides an option to set the lock screen time out. However, this setting is also over-ridden by the Power Saving option, yet it doesn't affect the main screen timeout which stays on for 5 minutes as per the Display timeout setting.

So the battery saver option overrides the lock screen timeout, but not the main screen timeout. How does that make sense?
