We are Sorry to hear that you're encountering an issue where the long press of the power key to trigger Bixby or Google Assistant is inconsistent. Please try the steps and see if it helps to solve the issue:
Check Settings for Assistant Behavior: Go to Settings > Advanced features > Side key. Make sure the option for Press and hold is set correctly for either Bixby or Google Assistant, depending on your preference. If it's set to "Power off menu," change it to Bixby or Google Assistant.
Clear Cache of Both Assistants: Go to Settings > Apps > Bixby Voice (and/or Google Assistant). Tap Storage and then Clear cache.
Reset the Assistant Settings: Try re-enabling or re-selecting the assistant you want to use (Google Assistant or Bixby) in the respective apps and reassigning the power button to the assistant. After this, restart the phone.
