I think there's a bug with the messaging app where a message would fail to send and indicate that with the little orange circle with an exclamation mark in it but I can always still it would still send because the people I am talking to respond appropriately to the content of the message. I have already done the usual to try and fix it but nothing has changed.

Please try to clear cache for your Samsung Messages application and reinsert your SIM card and check if the issue got resolved.

I was using the native Samsung messaging app. Device model is SM-G973W.
