Microphone in Messages

S7. While trying to use the microphone to write a text in Messages it saves audio to my gmail account and does not type it out. Don't know why it started doing this. In this app too. Haven't changed any settings. Would like my Mike back. Hey Google doesn't respond the same way either. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Take a look at "SwiftKey Keyboard"

Give this keyboard a try and let me know if that fixes the problem. I personally find Samsung keyboard crap! Mind you that's just a personal preference.

Check this:

Settings → General Management→ Language and input→ On screen keyboard→ Manage keyboards

Make sure Google Voice Typing is on. The rests are off.

Maybe you have other input methods interfere Google Voice Typing.

Voice typing is On. samsung keyboard is greyed out On.

Try turn off the voice recording feature.

Go to your Google Account.On the left navigation panel, click Data & personalization.In the Activity controls panel, click Web & App Activity.Check or uncheck the box next to "Include voice and audio recordings" to turn the setting on or off.

tried turning the setting off, did not fix. turned the voice and audio back on. nice instructions though. Any other ideas? appreciate the effort.

Are you pessing the mic icon on the keyboard to do voice to text? Or you press and hold Bixby button to do voice to text? Can you post a screenshot of your keyboard looks like?

on the top row of the keyboard. worked fine for years. message comes up and goes away saying that voice is being recorded to my google account. this happens when I touch the Mike icon.
