Please share how to retrieve missing photos. Had over 6000 images that now reduced to only 2000 and change. Some have transfered to dropbox as cameraroll file, but not all. It appears that sometime during  august 22-31 in 2018...something happened and my photos have dissapeared. Is it an update glitch? I have read all articles and help topics and checked/ tried all options....no success. Please share your wisdom folks.

During this period of collecting over 6000 images, have you ever done a backup?   Never trust storage.

My wisdom is: You always learn to do a backup when it's too late.

Hi @mlaigna,

Sorry to hear that, Please check the Trash folder under the gallery app and see if the missing photos are available in that folder. Follow the below steps:

Open Gallery >> click on the 3 dots at the upper right >> Trash.

Note: You can enable the Trash option by following steps (Open Gallery >> click on the 3 dots at the upper right >> settings>> Trash(Enable the toggle button) by enabling this button deleted images and videos will be in trash folder for 30 days before they are deleted forever.

You can also check if you have backed up your photos/data to Samsung or check-in Google photos if you had configured Google account and enabled the auto-backup option.

You can Backup your data using the Smart Switch from your mobile to  Pc.
