Hi there - I have an issue with downloaded music not showing up in any of the music players (including google play and samaung music). It can be detected while it was in the download folder. But when I even try to rename it, the file disappears in the music library but still stays in file explorer and is accessible only there. Is there any solution for this ?? I believe this started happening after I got my Android Q and One UI2 update. Cause never faced any such issue priorto it. Please help me with this issue.

Hi VishnuVk96, when you rename the songs, have you put .mp3 at the back? If you don't, no applications able to detect your songs.

It has .mp3 extension...but the file isn't getting detected in any app.

What about if you not rename the file, will the song appear on player or still no?

Yeah even if i don't rename it and move it to other folder...it gets disappeared from library. But all other songs in that folder are detected.

Can you try the following?

Settings → Apps-> Samsung Music→ Storage
clear data & clear cache

Then reboot your phone
