Hi Funemnx,

It is unusual to hear that you are facing issue with the camera of your device.

Here are some formal troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the “Warning: Camera Failed” issue on your Samsung device:

Steps to Resolve Camera Failure Warning

  1. Restart Your Device

    • A simple reboot can often resolve temporary software glitches.

  2. Clear Camera App Cache and Data

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Camera

    • Tap Storage

    • Select Clear Cache and then Clear Data

  3. Check for Software Updates

    • Navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install

    • Ensure your device is running the latest version of One UI and Android.

  4. Boot into Safe Mode

    • Press and hold the Power button, then tap and hold Power off until you see Safe Mode

    • Tap Safe Mode to reboot

    • Check if the camera works—this helps identify if a third-party app is causing the issue.

  5. Perform a Wipe Cache Partition

    • Power off the device

    • Press and hold Volume Up + Power button until the recovery menu appears

    • Use volume keys to select Wipe cache partition, then confirm with the power button

    • Reboot the device

  6. Reset Camera Settings

    • Open the Camera app

    • Go to Settings > Reset settings

If the issue persists after these steps, it may indicate a hardware fault. In that case, we recommend visiting an authorized Samsung service center for further diagnosis.

Excellent. This was a great help. Camera works now after reboot from safe mode.
