Galaxy SCheck to see if you have any emails that are "stuck" in sending.
You can try Clearing Cache for the email app and Reboot.

Galaxy SHi, we recommend you to try to clear Cache and data on the application , please follow the steps given below :
From Settings, swipe to and tap Apps. Select the Samsung email application. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache (bottom right button).
After clearing the cache, restart your device and check if it resolves the issue.

Galaxy SClearing Cache & Data for Samsung's email app, should actually work. It sounds like there's an email "stuck" in Sending. So Clearing Both Cache & Data should fix it.
Since Samsung's email is a system app, after trying Wiping Cache from Recovery, the only other options would be to, uninstall all updates to the app, or a Factory Reset
