The new update is making the phone's battery perform terribly. I have a S23+ and have gone a day and a half without charging it while using instagram and doom scrolling. Now I'm barely making it till the end of the day. *** is going on Samsung!!?
When we do a big update like OneUI, it's normal for your battery to drain faster. This type of update resets your usage habits to 0, and it takes a few days for your phone to relearn your habits. Give yourself a few days to a week and everything we be back to normal. I had the same situation for a few days when I updated my Fold 6 and now everything's back to normal.
Hi dgamree, We suggest you give some time and phone optimizes after the update. Background processes and application re-adaptation may lead to increased battery consumption initially. Use the "Battery and device care" feature in settings to optimize the phone and close unused apps. Disable or limit background activity for apps you don't need constantly running. Make sure all apps are up to date in both the Google Play Store and Samsung Galaxy Store.
